Halifax, part of Lloyds Banking Group, has been named Defaqto Home Insurer of the Year for 2025/26, recognizing its excellence in customer service and policy offerings.
The award is based on independent research and customer feedback, with Halifax achieving the highest overall score in areas including obtaining quotes, making claims, and renewing policies.
Defaqto highlighted several factors in its decision, including the range and clarity of cover options, the ability to pay monthly at no extra cost, policy management through Halifax’s app, and provision of alternative accommodation, including for family members and pets, across all coverage levels.
Lloyds Banking Group has invested heavily in digital tools and support services to simplify the insurance process, offering 24-hour support and streamlined quote procedures.
