ManipalCigna Health Insurance has introduced a new series of health insurance products under the name ManipalCigna Sarvah, specifically designed to cater to India’s middle class, particularly the underserved segment known as the ‘missing middle’.
In India, a large portion of the population, approximately 30-35%, is often referred to as the ‘missing middle’, a group that earns too much to qualify for government-subsidized insurance but too little to afford comprehensive private health coverage. This gap in health insurance coverage has left 35-40 crore individuals without adequate financial protection, as highlighted in the ‘Health Insurance for India’s Missing Middle’ report by NITI Aayog.
To address this gap, ManipalCigna Sarvah offers affordable and comprehensive health insurance to provide financial protection against unforeseen healthcare expenses.
The Sarvah series includes three plans that are accessible to a wide range of customers, particularly those who find themselves in the missing middle group, and are intended to shield families and individuals from financial hardship due to high medical costs.
One of the flagship offerings, ManipalCigna Sarvah Uttam, provides personalized and comprehensive health insurance coverage, with an exciting infinite coverage option called Anant. This option offers unlimited coverage, ensuring that customers have the flexibility and protection needed to manage critical health challenges without the fear of exhausting their policy limits.
The launch of these plans is a significant step toward enhancing healthcare accessibility for a large portion of the Indian population, particularly the middle-income families that often struggle to afford quality health insurance.
