InsurTech firm FastClaim Solutions Limited has unveiled its AI-powered FastClaim App, designed to simplify, accelerate, and bring transparency to motor insurance claims in Nigeria. The platform is already seeing rapid adoption among insurers under the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA).
Founder and CEO Uche Okugo explained that the app addresses long-standing challenges in motor insurance claims by leveraging smart technology.
“With the FastClaim App, users can submit claims by capturing photos or videos of vehicle damage directly from their smartphones. The AI engine instantly analyses the images to detect and assess damage, eliminating the need for physical inspections. This reduces claims resolution time from several weeks to just a few hours,” Okugo said.
He noted that insurance in Nigeria has struggled with poor perceptions regarding claims processing.
“Many people still believe insurers delay payouts. FastClaim changes that by providing a simple, transparent platform where policyholders and insurers can interact seamlessly,” he added.
While the app does not settle claims directly, it allows insurance companies to operate more efficiently and keeps customers informed in real time. By automating inspections and notifications, FastClaim helps reduce operational costs and accelerates claims handling.
The app allows users to inspect their vehicles using a smartphone camera. Photos and videos are analysed in real time, providing automated damage detection and speeding up the claim initiation process.
Commenting on the technology, the Nigerian Insurers Association said:
“The Fast Inspection Mobile Application generates pre-loss and post-loss inspection reports, helping assess vehicles before and after incidents.”
The FastClaim App represents a major step toward faster, fairer, and more user-friendly insurance experiences in Nigeria, bridging the gap between policyholders and insurers through innovative technology.
