Coalition, the San Francisco-based cyber managing general agent and cybersecurity firm, has launched its Active Cyber Insurance in France through its subsidiary, Coalition Insurance Solutions GmbH.French companies with annual revenues of up to €1 billion can now access primary cyber insurance and risk management services. Coverage capacity is provided by Allianz Commercial through Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) under a multi-year agreement.
Integrated Approach to Cyber Risk
Tine Simonsen, Coalition’s head of Insurance for Continental Europe, said the company’s Active Insurance model combines comprehensive coverage with internal cybersecurity expertise, technology, and services.She noted that as global cyber threats increase, French businesses—especially small ones—need a provider that not only helps reduce financial losses but also equips them with tools to understand risks, strengthen defenses, and prevent future attacks.
Leadership and Team Expansion
To support its French operations, Coalition appointed Benjamin Barès as head of Business Development for France. He brings over 20 years of experience, most recently serving as director of Direct Sales and Partnerships at Hiscox Assurances France.
He will be supported by:
- Frédéric Gatte, director of Underwriting, with extensive cyber expertise from roles at Onda and Diot Siaci
- Tom Paparella, Production Underwriter, who joins from Coalition’s U.S. team
